Years ago, I was a devout purchaser of the annual Baseball America Directory. In the pre-Internet days, this was a great resource for seeing roving instructors, scouts and other ex-players who could be found in care of minor league teams.
Trouble is, the cover price keeps climbing. Amazon has the $29.95 reference title for $19.77. Either way, I’ve questioned whether I should buy this title or more stamps.
Harvey Meiselman’s address list does a good job noting former players who are working for minor league teams.
It’s nice to have choices. Affordable choices are even better.
